The StageSHIFT Vertical Transformative Coaching Certification Program enables mature Synergist Leadership.

Part I concerns building the SYSTEMIC STRATEGIC SCAFFOLDING (LR AQAL: Structure)

Vertical Leadership Development to Synergist begins with creating the expansive, elevated, empowering space with an open, liberating Structure in the form of Systemic Strategic Scaffolding. This enables three elements of vertical growth:

  1. It erects a new upper elevated level for the most senior regional, divisional and global leaders, encouraging their demonstration and gradual integration of Synergist leadership capacity.
  2. Building the new Systemic Strategic Scaffolding itself demands the init Ian development of Synergist leadership capacity from the most senior strategic leaders.
  3. Once implemented in an engaging cascading fashion, it invites all business leaders to step up a level and vertical growth to flourish throughout the organization. 

Without opening up the organization’s living space for vertical growth, any VLD interventions will be subjected to the systemic and cultural constraints present in the organizational context. They will inhibit vertical growth and ultimately prevent it.

By transcending and transforming the strategic systemic context, the strategic leaders will progressively rise to Synergist taking accountability for broader ecosystemic outcomes and culture, and the next level of leaders will take greater accountability for the performance of their business units, uplifting the whole organization.


1. Inadequate Purpose/Mission & Unpracticed Values

Our world is in chaos as we are subjected to the forces of nature intent on our evolution. It is not sustainable to continue as we are. 

If an organization does not position its Purpose as a North Star, a guiding compass point, to navigate uncertainty and volatility, it fails to harness nature to foster its own evolution. 

Most Purpose Statements and Values Sets, even of conscious businesses, fall short of evolutionary transformative power. This keeps them moored at 3rd Perspective despite their best efforts to shift to 4th. 

Most are also articulated without any understanding of how to use them as frameworks to guide business decisions and build a strong culture.

2. Delegation of Plans & Individual Performance

The top-down delegation of planned initiatives, projects, and individual goals, underestimates and limits the capacity of people to exercise leadership. This needs to be replaced by top-down strategic intentions and the realization of shared cascading business outcomes beyond team goals. This is empowering.

The shift from “me” at 3rd Perspective to “we” at 4th Perspective involves creating the space for collaborative innovation across boundaries in the organization as well as a focus on teamwork to achieve team goals. StageSHIFT Systemic Strategic Scaffolding enables this to facilitate strong empowered team performances.

Most senior executives are challenged by sustaining performance, and moving away from operational decisions to become more strategic. In most situations this is because the structural context inhibits this. StageSHIFT EQUIP Scorecards enable this.

3. All Executives are Pushed for Time and Stressed

I don’t think I’ve ever met an executive client who didn’t find lack of time to be a problem. Most executives are pushed for time and are stressed as a result. This is both unhealthy and unnecessary.

The problem requires moving to a 4th Perspective systemic framework leveraging both time and energy to allow all work streams to flow effectively in emergence. StageSHIFT offers a solution that uplifts creative productivity, sharpens strategic focus, and serves mutual wellbeing simultaneously.

The 12-Week Program

In this 12-Week Program, a 4-Week Cycle repeats three times. This is the more intensive version of our iterative RADAR learning  cycle including 6 online group Discovery Dialogues led and conducted by Dr Antoinette Braks.

To make the most of the Program, you will ideally devote 3-4 hours/week in either study, dialogue, reflection, and/or application.

Week 1

An extensive comprehensive set of Self-Study Videos, Notes, Guidelines and Worksheets created and curated by Dr Antoinette Braks will take you deeply into the context and concepts, frameworks and techniques, and the application and implications of all for each of the two main topics per Module/cycle.

Most Coaches review this material twice to take it fully on board and we suggest you create mind maps to connect new ideas and perspectives with your own knowledge on any of the topics.

Week 2

You attend a Group Webinar conducted by way of a Discovery Dialogue by Dr Antoinette Braks to explore the materials, deepen your inquiry, and offer new insights to extend your appreciation of the first topic.

Our Discovery Dialogue will include a review of your own work towards each element; an exploration into your inquiry into their relevance and significance; and some case studies by way of example or those you raise from your work with clients.

Participants attend >90% of the Discovery Dialogues. They form the heart of the Program enabling significant breakthroughs through individual coaching and vicarious learning. Video and audio recordings and transcripts are accessible within 24-hours for you to review and inquire further into each Discovery Dialogue.

Week 3

A peer-to-peer dyad or triad with your colleagues to share with each other what you have learned, and wonder about, as well as to practice StageSHIFT Transformative Vertical Coaching with each other. These are also highly valued by participants to test and explore their thinking and realize new insights and revelations.

You are also welcome to post any reflections and questions in the SLACK Coaching Certification Channel.

Week 4

Another online group Discovery Dialogue as in Week 2 above on the second key topic, while also following up on the first.

In addition, this week involves a period of reflection to complete and submit the associated assignment. This helps you to integrate your understanding and enables you to receive individual customized feedback from Antoinette Braks charting your journey along the way.

You will need to complete the assignments if you would like to continue your discovery of Vertical Leadership Development in the continuing StageSHIFT Vertical Coaching Certification Program and other StageSHIFT Programs e.g. Vertical Systemic Team Dynamics Coaching.



The Program will launch on Thursday 5 January 2023 with the first set of Self-Study Resources including Induction.

The Discovery Dialogues will take place at 10am AEDT on Thursdays during Weeks 2 and 4 of each cycle on

Meet Dr Antoinette Braks

Antoinette Braks is a Master Certified Leadership Coach and Founder of StageSHIFT Coaching & Consulting Ltd. She completed her PhD in Transformative Coaching in Vertical Leadership Development and authored Executive Coaching in Strategic Holistic Leadership: The Drivers and Dynamics of Vertical Development (McGraw Hill 2020). Antoinette was awarded the CEO Today Management Consulting Award for Leadership Coaching in 2020.

She has coached over 300 senior strategic leaders over 3,500 hours coaching across multiple industries and government.
